Elina Garanca singing Andronico in Vivaldi’s Bajazet. I have a weak spot for Vivaldi’s operas, and while Garanca isn’t necessarily crossdressing in the clip (though I am a fan of the waistcoat), this clip shows her finesse and talent. “:D

Vesselina Kasarova as Edoardo in Matilde di Shabran. I have no idea what the piece is, but now I want to know.

Vesselina Kasarova as Romeo and Eri Nakamura as Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi. I will never be over this opera.

One more from this cd’s promo pics. I swear I’m done. But soooo pretty.
Also, how are you going to fence with that giant-ass sword, Romeo??

Love this outtake from the album cover of Netrebko and Garanca’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi. It looks like a romantic comedy. </3
Ah, those photos.
And I love how Garanca’s eyes scream “MINE” into your face on the cover.
Bringing this back for the wonderful photo I haven’t seen from the shoot.

Haven’t had a dude up here in a while. Here, this doesn’t count, but Juan Diego Florez as ‘Sister Colette’ in Comte d’Ory’s still pretty great.

What are the criteria for your contest? Random drawing? Most reblogs? How does it work?! Also, do you get to pick the prize?
Good questions! Th criteria are mentioned in the original post, but really all that matters is that entrants are following me.
I guess I should have specified that this will be a random draw, and I’ll be determining the winner with random.org
If the winner chooses, then he or she can pick from what I’ve offered, in which case I’ll draw again until all the prizes are accounted for.
Good to hear from you operateen!
